The Washington Sniper Task Force was a task force designed to investigate the sniper-style shootings of several people in the D.C. area in October 2002, one of which claimed the life of an FBI employee. This eventually led to the arrest of Lee Boyd Malvo and John Allen Muhammad. Malvo was eventually convicted and sentenced to life in prison. Muhammad was convicted and sentenced to death. There are several different patches that commemorate this task force.
