Operation Talisman was a joint OCDETF in the Danville, Virginia area. During the investigations, a wiretap picked up one of the main suspects saying he never worries about the cops catching him because he has a "talisman", a "good luck charm", which named the operation. The night of the raid around 80 suspects were rounded up. The area for processing was a high school gym. Every time a bad guy was brought in the scoreboard would buzz the good guys another point.
