Operation Pipeline is a nationwide highway interdiction program established in 1984 that focuses on private motor vehicles. It is one of the DEA's most effective operations and continues to provide essential cooperation between the DEA and state and local law enforcement agencies. The operation is composed of three elements: training, real-time communication, and analytic support. The patch was made for Operation Pipeline activities in along Interstate 70 in Vigo County, Indiana. Members of this task force include the local FBI and DEA offices as well as the Indiana State Police, Vigo County Sheriff’s Office, and other local police departments.
